Skrama 80 (Mini-Skrama) – compact utility knife for precise cutting and everyday use

Skrama 80 is a small, exceptionally handy, and robustly built knife based on the proven design of the larger Skrama models. Thanks to its Sheepsfoot blade profile, it is ideal for fine and precise cutting tasks where maximum control is essential. It perfectly complements a larger chopping knife or axe during outdoor trips, bushcraft, and everyday carry.

The knife is made in Kauhava, Finland, a region with a long tradition of puukko knife manufacturing, ensuring premium craftsmanship and reliable performance even in demanding conditions.

Blade and construction for maximum durability

The blade features the characteristic Sheepsfoot shape, which excels in precise cut control and safe operation. At the base of the edge, there is a practical sharpening choil that makes it easy to maintain the edge along its full length.

The spine is ground and beveled for use with a firesteel, allowing you to create sparks easily even in harsh weather conditions. This feature is especially valuable during outdoor activities when you need to start a fire quickly and reliably.

The knife features an extremely durable full tang construction with a molded rubber handle that provides a secure and comfortable grip even when wet or while wearing gloves. At the end of the handle, there is a lanyard hole for added carrying security.

80CrV2 – proven carbon steel for maximum performance

80CrV2 carbon steel is one of the traditional and long-proven materials used in Finnish knife making. Thanks to its high toughness, excellent durability, and easy sharpening, it is an ideal choice for outdoor and bushcraft knives that must perform reliably in demanding environments.

This steel is valued for its reliability, long edge retention, and high mechanical resistance. The 59 HRC hardness offers an excellent balance between long-lasting sharpness and easy field maintenance.

Because it is a carbon steel, it is recommended to dry the blade and lightly oil it after each use to preserve maximum corrosion resistance and ensure a long service life.

Special heat treatment for enhanced toughness

The applied heat treatment creates a slightly tougher outer surface layer that better resists impacts, lateral stress, and heavy-duty use. The result is an extremely durable knife capable of handling demanding bushcraft and outdoor tasks without concern for damage.

This hardening method also minimizes the effect of microscopic scratches or minor surface imperfections, significantly reducing the risk of cracks and increasing the knife’s long-term reliability.

Blade spine optimized for firesteel use

The side bevels on the blade spine are designed to expose the harder steel core. This creates a sharp and extremely hard angle that is ideal for striking a firesteel and easily starting a fire. This feature is highly practical for bushcraft, survival activities, and regular camping.

Sheath options based on your carry style

Skrama 80 is available in several variants depending on your preferences:

  • No sheath – ideal for those who want to make their own leather or Kydex sheath
  • Plastic blade protector – suitable for safe storage in a backpack, car, or gear bag
  • Plastic sheath with belt loop – practical for field carry
  • Kydex or leather sheath – a premium choice for everyday carry and quick knife access

If you are looking for a small, durable knife for precise work that perfectly complements a larger outdoor knife or axe, the Skrama 80 is an excellent choice for nature, workshop, and everyday use.
