Hobo Stove™ – practical accessory for your 'Base Camp' and 'Scout' Kettle

Transform the fire-base of your 'Base Camp' or 'Scout' Kettle into a highly efficient wood-fired camping stove with the Hobo Stove™.

Directions for Use:

1. Place the Hobo Stove on the Kettle fire-base so that the wide rim rests on the base.
2. Face the circular holes of the fire-base into the wind, and the large “feeder” hole on the side of the Hobo Stove away from the wind.
3. Add fuel as needed via the top opening, the side “feeder” hole of the Hobo Stove, or through the holes in the fire-base.
4. Place any pot or pan on the Hobo Stove and cook!

Tip: Allow the stove to cool completely before packing. Simply flip the Hobo Stove over and it fits neatly back into the fire-base.

Safety Recommendations:

• The fire-base becomes very hot and may scorch the ground. Whenever possible, leave no trace – set the stove on a non-combustible surface (sand, gravel, large stone) or use our simple support under the fire-base to protect the ground.
• In an emergency, the Hobo Stove can be used without the fire-base – simply place it on the ground and build the fire inside.
• We recommend using the Hobo Stove with stainless steel fire-bases, as aluminium may warp or melt under intense heat.

350 ml cup → inside 500 ml cup → inside the large cook set → inside this Hobo Stove → inside the fire-base (Base Camp or Scout) → which inverts up into the bottom of the kettle itself!
