The Ganzo G742-1 folding knife is a great knife for any outdoor use. It is suitable for cutting vegetables and sandwiches at a picnic, you can do almost any work on the go with it, it is also suitable for fishing, hiking or hunting.
The lock is built into the knife's blade - the so-called Frame-Lock, the use is absolutely safe. This knife will not open in the pocket.
For the production of the knife blade was used steel 440C with hardness 58HRC. This type of steel is widely used for knife making because it combines such important properties as corrosion resistance and high hardness of the material. Both qualities are valued for EDC knives that you don't have time to take care of.
On one side of the handle of this model, the blades are made of G10 material. It is a high density laminate. It is made of fiberglass dipped in epoxy resin, while having strength comparable to metal. This material is also significantly lighter than steel and is also non-corrosive. The other side of the knife is free of G10-coating.
