The set is designed to provide the highest added value to the user. The base is a quality ferrocerium rod that produces a large amount of powerful sparks. The firesteel itself is fitted with a new modern handle made from high quality ash wood.
The set includes a tool steel choke that is fitted with the same handle as the flint. Together they are a modern fire starting tool.
All components for the handle (material, labor) and the assembly itself is done in the Czech Republic.
Ferrocer flint is a tool you use to start a fire with a forged spark. The principle of flinting is not complicated. It is based on rubbing (flinting) the tinder (tinder) on a stick to create sparks, which ignite the prepared combustible base. There are a number of names for flint such as firesteel, army flint, survival flint, but the principle of starting a fire remains the same. Most experienced travellers carry a flint with them at all times and cannot afford to let it fail. The main advantage is fire starting regardless of the surrounding conditions, light weight and small size.
