User review of the Sanrenmu 7010LUI-SH knife

We have already gotten used to the fact that knives of the currenté Czeché production haveé theiré much moreá positive&scaroné patterns. Nor is Sanrenmu 710 aý iný them. If youá look at it and have at least a rá mcé familiarityá with moderná knife´ closures, here&scaron& í

There are, after all, a few differences between a really expensive original and a black replica:

  • Sanrenmu má blade made of 8Cr13MoV, Sebenza made of CPM S35VN Stainless Steel (Chris Reeve gives a hardness of 58-59 HRC)
  • Sanrenmu má pocket clip attaches in the frontá of the handle at the centerá pin (on three šgags)
  • , Sebenza in the backá pin (on one šgag)
  • Sanrenmu má shanks and clip made of „laciné metal“, Sebenza is made with  titaniumý shanks and clip made of  titaniumé alloy 6Al4V Titanium
  • Sanrenmu má blade approximately 2,5 mm thick, Sebenzy má blade 3,2 mm thick.
  • Smallé aestheticé differences can be foundé on the handle (differenté position of šgags, hole for šlocking šcord, etc.)
  • Sanrenmu costsá 360,- CZK, Sebenza startsá at about 11 000,- CZK and continues to a minimumá of doubleá (depending on the specificá model and the materialá of the blade and handle)

What Sanrenmu and Sebenza have in common, on the contrary, is the framelock safety, the clip with fixed position (on the right side of the handle), the tinyý appearance and the feeling that you just have to play with this knife.

The first time you pick up a Sanrenmu 710 knife, you're immediately struck by how small and tiny it is. But even so, it doesn't hold špat. The handle is made of metal, which can feel cold (especially in winter) and rough. There isn actually nothing plastic on the knife, so it is a bit heavy for its size. It is smaller in a man&scaroné hand, but the thumb rest on the topá edge of the blade and the recessedá for the indexá check (and the controlá ná safety) have veryá fine ergonomics. Even a big guy's hand will get used to this knife. But it's true that it fits in a woman's hand.

The framelock safety takes some getting used to. The lock in this case consists of the back part of the handle which is curved inwards, making the handle .sure  the blade in the opené position (similar to a linerlock - in a linerlock the blade inšif surelyá the blade is inwardly curvedá one of the bearings). It has no tendency to slip and loosen the open blade under more pressure from above.

The bladeý already from iný the bladeý whenšlo nicely poisoné. S the bladeí is good for making finer cuts. With theí thumb resting on the roughenedí at the opení wheelí the blade guides the cut well. At the firstí glance, it is already evident that it is notí intended for coarse prá – e.g. I would definitely not opení a can with thisí knife. It sharpens well, the sharpness holds up quite well. The blackí on the blade does´ not have much tendency to chip or peel off. If the knife is used for „fine práci“, the blackening´ does not practically gošgoat at all. If you gently loosen the center &scaroný šgag, open the blade from the closedé state with a stronger&scaron& í pressure on the wheelí check. The handle is made of metal. If you forget the knife somewhere outdoors in the winter, it does not gently coldí when you continueúchop. In freezing weather I have done this tryšenost once soé.

If you put a braid of paracord into the hole in the back of the handle, subjectively the handle lengthens and in a larger hand the knife is held completely differently. Thanks to the hole for the safety š cord and the smallé size, the knife can also be hung on a lap, backpack or braš n.

The knife's size makes it suitable not only for women and ladies who want to be prepared for the unexpected;but also for men who need a small, not too small, but usable knife for certain occasions. S you can use this knife in a suit to the theatre concert etc. and not even think  about it. The blacký clip is lost on darký formalý trousers.

This tinyý knifeý mám rád. I got it mainly so that I would have a sharp knife for my formal wear that would not bulge my pocket or pull my pants to the ground. At a socialé event, I often cannot afford to carry aý knife and not necessarily attract the attention of otherý people. I admit that I don't use it very often (I really only wear the suit on formal occasions), but that doesn't bother me at its price. I donát feel that I bought an expensive knife that I woná t use. It doesn't look like something from the market, it's well made, it has its own charm that takes some getting used to.
